About the Cartridge

This cartridge was introduced along with the Luger semi-automatic pistol. The pistol and cartridge was first adopted by the German Navy in 1904 and then by the German Army in 1908. This cartridge has since been adopted by the military of practically every non-Communist power. It has become the most popular and widely-used handgun cartridge in the world. Performance wise, the 9 mm cartridge has somewhat more power than the .38 Special but falls well short of the .357 Magnum.

P95 DC Great Pistol, Not Perfect
By JKnicker on 28 Apr 2022
I bought a used P95DC not too long ago. As beat up as it is, it's still very accurate. I was able to put 5 of 5 shots within a 5" radius at 75ft. And I am an amateur shooter. It feels solid in the hands and reasonably easy to rack. The downside is a lot of take-up on the trigger. But the break is quite clean. Reset is quick. Because of its size, the recoil is very manageable. Field stripping is not too bad. There is one "extra" step in pushing the magazine safety mechanism down before the slide can be removed. The rest is simple. The take-up and extra step to field stripping keep me from rating this 5 of 5 stars.
