Analysis

This single-action revolver in .32 Mag caliber offers a compelling option for shooters seeking precision and classic design. Its accuracy is noteworthy, particularly at moderate ranges, thanks to a well-balanced barrel and consistent cylinder lockup. The ergonomics are comfortable for most hand sizes, with a grip that facilitates a natural point of aim. Reliability is a strong suit, as the mechanism operates smoothly under regular use, with minimal malfunctions reported. The trigger pull is crisp and predictable, averaging around 3.5 pounds, which aids in shot placement. Felt recoil is mild, making it approachable for newer shooters or those sensitive to heavier calibers. However, maintenance can be cumbersome due to the intricacies of the design, requiring diligent care to prevent wear. Additionally, sourcing replacement parts may pose challenges, as availability is limited. This revolver suits enthusiasts of traditional firearms but may frustrate those prioritizing ease of upkeep.

"The .32 H&R Magnum cartridge performance level is well above that of any other 32-caliber handgun cartridge currently available." The .327 Federal Magnum exceeds the .32 H&R Magnum. The .327 Federal Magnum was developed in 2007 and released in 2008. It's basically a .32 "Super Mag" since it's even longer than the .32 H&R Magnum. The .327 Magnum is able to shoot the following: .327 Mag, .32 Mag, .32 S&W Long/.32 Colt New Police, and .32 S&W ('Short'). It (and the .32 Mag) can also fire .32acp although it's NOT an "authorized/recommended" caliber. At the time of this post (June 2019), Ruger makes one .32 H&R Magnum caliber SA Revolver....but makes about a dozen DA and SA revolvers in .327. I don't know of any other manufacturer currently making guns in either caliber.
