The company was officially launched during the 2007 IDEX exhibition in Abu Dhabi. The Caracal F and C 9mm pistols were introduced to the international small arms world during the same event. Caracal products are designed and manufactured in the UAE. Caracal has the manufacturing capability to produce 40,000-50,000 guns each year. Of that, they hope to sell approximately 10,000 units in the US annually.They also have addiitional manufacturing capabilities in Germany, if there is demand. The Caracal product suite meets the highest and strictest European and NATO standards. The name Caracal comes from the African wild cat, also known as the desert lynx.
