About the Gun

The GSG 922 is a compact 1911-style single-action rimfire pistol with a zinc-alloy frame and slide, a dust-cover accessory rail, and black checkered polymer grips. It uses an adjustable rear sight, an ambidextrous thumb safety, a beavertail grip safety, and a skeletonized trigger.

Analysis

American Tactical added the GSG 922 after the Government GSG 1911 as the compact .22 LR 1911 from German Sport Guns. Blue Book dates it from mid-2012. The short slide and barrel sit on the same zinc-alloy blowback layout and 1911 control set as the full-size gun, with a rail on the dust cover. Walnut grips were cataloged later in that run. Regular production closed in 2020. Leftover new guns still appear on dealer shelves. Used examples trade as inexpensive compact rimfire 1911s and do not carry collector premium.
