About the Gun

Full-size polymer-frame striker-fired 9 mm pistol on the Strike One non-tilting lockup, set up as a range and competition gun. The steel slide is lightened and carries front and rear serrations. Sights are a fiber-optic front and an adjustable rear. The trigger is a flat-faced short-reset piece. The grip is integrated into the polymer frame with a dust-cover accessory rail and an ambidextrous magazine release.

Production began in 2015 and is currently ongoing.

Analysis

Arsenal introduced the Strike One Speed in 2015 as the sport version of the 2012 polymer Strike One. The lockup and frame stayed the same; the factory cut weight from the slide, fitted fiber-optic and adjustable sights, and substituted a flatter competition trigger. It was classified for practical-pistol use in Europe from that first year. U.S. availability followed the same stop-and-start path as the rest of the Italian line and resumed in the early 2020s. Used Speeds trade above a plain Strike One but well below the aluminum Ergal guns.
