About the Gun

Very small stainless-steel pocket pistol in .32 Auto. It is a hammerless, double-action-only blowback with no manual safety. The grip is black polymer. Sights are a fixed blade and notch, larger than on the later Mark II. A small knob sits on the front of the trigger guard, and the takedown hole is on the left side of the frame.

Production ran 1996 only.

MSRP at production was around $400. Current used market value for examples in good to very good condition ranges $600–$900.

Analysis

Autauga Arms opened in Prattville, Alabama, in 1996 with this first .32 Auto pocket pistol, built on a Seecamp-style deep-concealment idea. Slides on this short run are marked TMW, Gardena, California. After roughly 150–230 guns the factory moved the takedown hole to the right, dropped the trigger-guard knob, and introduced the MKII 32, which became the regular-production gun of about 3,200 pieces. The early 32 almost never appears for sale; when it does, it trades as a first-run Autauga rather than as a common pocket .32.
