Analysis

The 83F was introduced in 1991 as a new model, not an update of an earlier 83. There is no unsuffixed 83, no 83B, and no 83BB. It is the single-stack .380 Auto with a longer barrel than the 85. The magazine holds seven rounds. Italian production was limited, and the gun was not a regular export item. The 83FS followed around 1998 with the revised decock lever. The 85F is the shorter-barrel companion on the same thin grip. The 86 is the tip-up and is a separate model. Plastic panels from the F fit the FS. Magazines and the panels are the usual missing pieces.
