About the Gun

Full-size DA/SA locked-breech pistol with an alloy Vertec-style frame and an open-top steel slide. Wrap-around polymer grips. Slide-mounted ambidextrous safety/decock lever, convertible to decocker-only. Three-slot accessory rail, threaded barrel, and an FDE finish.

Analysis

Beretta introduced the M9A3 in 2015 as the next M9 service configuration after the M9A1. It keeps the railed dust cover and adds a thinner Vertec grip, a threaded barrel, removable sights, and a convertible F/G safety. Most guns are FDE. Italian production ran into 2021. The M9A4 followed with an optics-ready slide. Used boxed examples with the extra magazines sit at the top of the value range.
