Analysis

This .40 S&W semi-automatic pistol offers a solid option for shooters seeking a reliable duty or self-defense firearm. Its accuracy is commendable, delivering consistent groupings at typical defensive ranges, thanks to a well-designed barrel and sight system. The ergonomics are a strong point, with a grip that accommodates a variety of hand sizes, promoting a secure hold during extended sessions. Reliability is generally high, with the firearm cycling smoothly through various ammunition types under standard conditions. However, maintenance can be somewhat cumbersome due to a design that requires extra attention to detail during disassembly and cleaning. Parts availability may also pose a challenge, as replacement components are not as widely stocked as those for more common models. The trigger pull is crisp, averaging around 5 pounds in single-action mode, though the double-action pull feels heavier. Felt recoil is manageable but noticeable, typical for its caliber.
