About the Gun

The CZ-75 pistol was developed by the Koucky brothers, who worked at the state-owned arms factory Ceska Zbrojovka in the city of Uhersky Brod Czechoslovakia, now the Czech republic. This full-size semiautomatic pistol first appeared in the 1975, and the production began circa 1976. It is one of the original wonder nines featuring a staggered-column magazine, all-steel construction, and hammer forged barrels. The CZ-75 accumulated the best features from many preceding designs. The resulting pistol is aesthetically attractive, comfortable to handle and shoot, quite accurate and reliable in operation. Produced in various versions and modifications, CZ-75 is also widely copied and cloned.

Analysis

This 9mm pistol is a noteworthy option for shooters seeking a balance of performance and practicality. Its accuracy is commendable, benefiting from a well-designed barrel and sight system that aids in precise shot placement. The ergonomics are a strong point, with a grip that fits comfortably in a variety of hand sizes, promoting control during extended shooting sessions. Reliability is another asset, as it consistently functions under diverse conditions with proper care. However, maintenance can be somewhat intricate, requiring attention to detail for disassembly and cleaning. Availability of replacement parts may pose a challenge in certain regions, potentially delaying repairs. The trigger pull is smooth and crisp in single action, though some may find the double-action pull heavier than preferred. Felt recoil is moderate, manageable for most users, making it suitable for both novice and experienced shooters looking for a dependable duty or competition firearm.

World Champ

Their is a reason this pistol is known as the top combat handgun in the world. The 75B to me is the most iconic handgun in the world. Also the most copied handgun. I put it right up there with the Browning Hi Power and the SIG P226. Have owned both and I still have my 75B but not the Browning or SIG. The quality you get for the price you pay for a CZ is outstanding. Only pistol I like better is the 1911.
