Analysis

This 9x18 Makarov caliber pistol offers a compelling package for shooters seeking a compact, military-inspired handgun. Its accuracy is commendable for a service pistol, delivering consistent performance at moderate ranges. The ergonomic design fits comfortably in most hands, with a grip that supports a natural point of aim. Reliability is a strong suit, as it functions well under varied conditions with minimal malfunctions when properly maintained. However, maintenance can be cumbersome due to its older design, requiring more effort to disassemble and clean compared to modern alternatives. Availability of replacement parts may also pose challenges, as they are not as widely stocked. The trigger pull is on the heavier side, which might affect precision for some users, while the felt recoil is moderate, manageable for most shooters with experience. Overall, it’s a solid choice for those valuing durability over convenience.

My favorite gun
By mojo357 on 05 Jul 2021
I've owned over two dozen handguns and the CZ-82 is the last one I'll ever sell. It fits my big hand comfortably and is a breeze to shoot. Never had a misfire of any kind ever. When my brother and I took my niece for her first visit to to a range we brought a bunch of guns for her to shoot and the CZ-82 was the only one she did very well with.
