Analysis

This Hungarian-made semi-automatic pistol in 9x18mm offers a practical design rooted in classic European engineering. Its accuracy is commendable for a compact firearm, providing consistent performance at typical defensive ranges. The ergonomics are functional, with a grip that suits a wide range of hand sizes, though some users may find the controls slightly stiff initially. Reliability is a strong point, as it operates well under varied conditions with proper care. However, maintenance can be cumbersome due to its dated design, requiring more effort to disassemble and clean compared to modern counterparts. Parts availability is also a concern, often posing challenges for repairs or customization. The trigger pull is notably heavy, which may affect precision for less experienced shooters, while the felt recoil is moderate, manageable for most but sharper than expected given the cartridge. Overall, it’s a dependable choice with historical appeal, balanced by practical limitations.

Lighter compared to its Comm-bloc contemporaries - easy to carry - fixed barrel straight blow-back gives great accuracy within gun's limitations - EXTREMELY heavy trigger pull in D/A - but OK in S/A. Strongly recommend replacing hammer spring w/lighter one ASAP after purchase - would have given it 5 stars except for that.
