One of the early Italian-made clones of the CZ-75, produced by Tanfoglio and imported into the U.S. market by FIE during the 1980s. An affordable alternative with similar ergonomics and reliability as the CZ-75, though it carried some distinct manufacturing traits from Tanfoglio that influenced its handling and aftermarket support.

The pre-1988 TZ-75 remains a solid performer for modern shooters due to its all-steel construction, reliable DA/SA trigger system, and natural pointability that closely mirrors the CZ-75. Recoil is manageable with standard 9mm loads, and the pistol responds well to basic upgrades like stronger recoil springs or modern sights. Magazine and holster compatibility with early CZ-75 models is excellent, expanding options without custom work. For collectors, these represent a key piece of 1980s wondernine history, particularly the less-common hard chrome examples prized for durability and period IPSC association. Parts specific to the slide-mounted decocker design can be challenging to source today, though some Witness-era components (such as certain barrels, springs, and grips) offer compatibility with minor fitting in many cases.
