About the Cartridge

This cartridge was introduced along with the Luger semi-automatic pistol. The pistol and cartridge was first adopted by the German Navy in 1904 and then by the German Army in 1908. This cartridge has since been adopted by the military of practically every non-Communist power. It has become the most popular and widely-used handgun cartridge in the world. Performance wise, the 9 mm cartridge has somewhat more power than the .38 Special but falls well short of the .357 Magnum.

Mine is purple. JA 9MM
By Remington1911 on 20 Jun 2022
I bought my gun awhile back. I admit it had/has so many issues that do need to be addressed with this gun. Needs to be constantly oiled Can only use Brass as others stick Firing jam, where it jams up. Rust billed up fast in chamber and barrel an part of Trigger. There is also gashes in where the bullet loads. I really love my gun but do wish it was built better. Bought at a gun show in 2018 nm fair grounds. I bought this as my first 9mm an because it was purple ??. But need to look into the warranties for it.

An "ok" budget friendly pistol

Out of all the "Cheapo" pistols on the market in the sub $125-$150 market this particular pistol ranks as one of the better ones. However I still believe you can do a bit better for around $150-$175. But if you come across one of these cheap, buy it. I'm not confident enough to say I would soley rely on this pistol to protect my family but it could be a back up or truck gun. I have found that quality varies greatly from gun to gun. It has shown a lack of quality control. But is this better than nothing? You bet..

One JA9 didn't make it past 200 rounds before the recoil spring failed and gun essentially shot itself apart now the slide is permanently stuck open and will not come off unless it has been cut off. DO NOT BUY if you want a low cost gun get a Taurus or HiPoint stay far away from these very dangerous firearms

Decent gun for around 125-150

In my household we have 2 J.A. 9mm along with several other firearms. Unfortunately one of the firearms is of lower quality than the other so really be weary of this gun if you can before purchasing it. TEST THE EXACT ONE YOU ARE BUYING! The company has since decided to give the run around and returned a faulty firearm after contacting them again they and sending the firearm back they claim to have fixed the issue.
