About the Gun

Part of Kahr's Value Series, the CW series is a lower-cost version of the compact P series, polymer-framed guns. Standard rifling instead of polygonal, pinned front sight instead of dovetailed, fewer cosmetic machining cuts on the slide. Kahr pistols are striker-fired locked-breech designs, relying on a modification of the Browning dropping-barrel system with a lug above the chamber locking the barrel into the roof of the slide.

Analysis

This compact .380 Auto pistol offers a solid option for concealed carry, with a design focused on ease of use and portability. Its accuracy is commendable for a firearm of this size, delivering consistent performance at close to moderate ranges. The ergonomics are well-suited for smaller hands, with a grip that provides a secure hold during firing. Reliability is a strong point, as it cycles smoothly with most standard ammunition, though occasional feeding issues have been noted with certain hollow-point rounds. The trigger pull is crisp, averaging around 5-6 pounds, which aids in maintaining control. However, felt recoil can be sharp due to the lightweight frame, potentially affecting follow-up shots for some users. On the downside, maintenance can be cumbersome, requiring specific tools for disassembly. Additionally, sourcing replacement parts may pose challenges, limiting long-term support for owners.

I love Pocket guns, own many. This is a extremely well made, fine shooting, firearm. Totally reliable with thousands of rounds down range. Love the Kahr Trigger for EDC. I own two of these guns plus the P380. All reliable, and Fun to shoot and exceptionally mild on recoil. Handles fantastic.. So easy to carry. Highly recommend.
