About the Gun

Part of Kahr's Premium Series. Features include a Lothar Walther polygonal rifled match grade barrel, smooth DAO trigger, stainless or blackened stainless slide and an option for night sights. Kahr pistols are striker-fired locked-breech designs, relying on a modification of the Browning dropping-barrel system with a lug above the chamber locking the barrel into the roof of the slide.

About the Cartridge

Designed by John Browning and introduced by Fabrique Nationale of Belgium, this cartridge has achieved world-wide acceptance and has even been adopted as the standard pistol cartridge by several governments. One reason for the round's success is that it is the largest practical cartridge that can be easily adapted to small automatic pocket pistols. Ballistics fall far short of even the 9mm Luger, but still prove adequate for most self-defense situations. The round has established quite a niche position in this role, often being chosen over more traditional small calibers such as the .25 and .32 Autos.

Beautiful to look at beautiful to shoot

A really classy Pocket gun. Fantastic attention to detail, beautiful craftsmanship and so mild to shoot. Great night sights. Recoil is one of the lowest of the 380's. Trigger is exceptional DAO (striker fired). Very Smooth, deliberate and controlled all the way through.

Beautifully made but doesn't work all that well.

I kept trying to love these but they are just too ammo finnicky. I had 4 all together (three at one time was the most) and I never could get one to go more than a few dozen rounds without jamming in one way or the other. Little, cute, low recoil (for the size) and beautifuly made, but also ammo finnicky, prone to all sorts of problems, needs frequent recoil spring changes and only likes "botique" ammo and even then is not all that rteliable. Did I get 4 lemons? maybe, Did I do something wrong like a bad grip that made it malfunction? Possibly, but probably not. I've ownerd several other Kahrs and they have been 100% reliable - but not this one. Not recommended.
