About the Gun

Part of Kahr's Premium Series, the T Series offers a full size carry gun with a thin profile in both steel and polymer frames. Featuring a Lothar Walther 4” match grade polygonal rifled barrel. Kahr pistols are striker-fired locked-breech designs, relying on a modification of the Browning dropping-barrel system with a lug above the chamber locking the barrel into the roof of the slide.

Analysis

This .40 S&W compact pistol offers a solid option for concealed carry and personal defense. Its accuracy is commendable, delivering consistent performance at typical engagement distances for a firearm of its size. The ergonomic design facilitates a comfortable grip for most hand sizes, aiding in control during firing. Reliability is a strong point, with the pistol functioning well under varied conditions when properly maintained. However, maintenance can be somewhat cumbersome, as disassembly and cleaning require more effort than some competing models. Availability of replacement parts may also pose a challenge for some owners, potentially leading to delays in repairs. The trigger pull is smooth with a clean break, averaging around 6 pounds, which suits many shooters. Felt recoil is manageable but noticeable due to the lightweight frame, requiring practice for newer users to maintain precision during rapid fire.
