About the Gun

The MC1sc is a slim, single-stack striker-fired pistol built for deep concealment. It pairs a glass-reinforced polymer frame with a stainless steel slide offered in black DLC or natural two-tone bead-blast finish. Key features include Mossberg’s trigger-pull-free Safe Takedown System, aggressively textured grip with 1911-style angle, flat-faced trigger with integrated blade safety, Clear-Count magazines, and an optional reversible cross-bolt manual safety on select models. Low bore axis and thoughtful ergonomics deliver mild recoil and fast, accurate follow-up shots in a package that remains highly shootable despite its compact size.

Analysis

In a market rapidly abandoning single-stack 9mms for 10–15 round micros, the MC1sc arrived late but punched above its weight with excellent ergonomics, soft recoil impulse, and 100% reliability in most documented tests. The optional cross-bolt safety appealed to agencies and cautious carriers who distrust pure trigger-safety designs, while standard configurations kept draw mechanics Glock-simple. Though discontinued around the time that double-stack MC2 models took priority, remaining examples—especially stainless two-tones—hold strong resale value and loyal followings among shooters who prioritize shootability and slim profile over magazine capacity in everyday carry roles.
