About the Gun

Rohrbaugh pistols are precision CNC machined from solid billets of stainless steel for the slide, barrel and smaller internal parts. Frames are from 7075-T651 aluminum billets. Parts are then hand fit for a superior self-defense weapon where size, weight and deep concealment are of consideration. The Stealth series slides are coated with Diamond Black (DLC), which reduces friction, increases wear resistance and has anti-galling properties.

Analysis

This compact 9mm pistol offers a blend of precision and concealability that appeals to many shooters seeking a reliable carry option. Its accuracy is noteworthy, delivering consistent performance at close to medium ranges, while the ergonomic design ensures a comfortable grip for most hand sizes, enhancing control during use. Reliability is a strong suit, with the firearm functioning well under varied conditions when properly maintained. The trigger pull is smooth, averaging around 9 pounds in double-action mode, which may feel heavy for some but provides a deliberate action for safety-conscious users. Felt recoil is moderate, manageable for most shooters with proper technique. On the downside, maintenance can be intricate, requiring attention to detail, and sourcing replacement parts may pose challenges due to limited availability. Additionally, the smaller frame might not suit users with larger hands, potentially affecting long-term comfort.
