Analysis

This compact .380 Auto pistol offers a solid option for concealed carry and personal defense. Among its strengths are commendable accuracy for its size, with tight groupings at typical self-defense ranges, and ergonomics that cater to a wide range of hand sizes, providing a comfortable grip. Reliability is another asset, as it consistently cycles various types of ammunition without frequent malfunctions. However, maintenance can be somewhat cumbersome due to a less intuitive disassembly process, which may frustrate less experienced users. Availability of replacement parts or aftermarket accessories might also pose challenges in certain regions. The trigger pull is crisp, averaging around 5-6 pounds, which aids in control, while the felt recoil is moderate for the caliber, though it may feel sharp to shooters sensitive to smaller frames. Overall, it’s a dependable choice with some practical considerations for ownership.

3 of 5 Stars
Ruger LC380
By gma on 24 Nov 2021
This gun would be a 5 star if it had the Ruger LC9s trigger. It would be the best 380 sold if it did. Even with the long very easy trigger it has I can shoot it well. I had a laser on it but moved it to the LC9s when I got that. This LC380 is the easiest to rack of all 380's even including the new M&P EZ 380. the mag is fairly easy to load & those things are important to me as I am very old. I still shoot 9mm, but 380 does feel better to me. My favorite carry 380 is still the Bersa 380 CC. It has the best trigger, & a lot of other great features. I have owned at least 20 PPK's since the 1950's & sold them all & kept the Bersa 380CC. It is a little hard to rack.
