About the Gun

Identical to the LC9s in appearance and function, the LC9s Pro model is designed without a thumb-operated manual safety lever or a magazine disconnect safety. The removal of the external safety allows the shooter to engage targets during high-stress scenarios when there may not be time to deactivate a manual safety. Also, the removal of the magazine disconnect benefits tactical reloads and permits the user to fire a round loaded in the chamber with the magazine removed.

Analysis

This 9mm compact pistol offers a solid option for concealed carry and personal defense. Its accuracy is commendable for a firearm of this size, delivering consistent performance at short to medium ranges. The ergonomics are well-suited for smaller hands, with a grip that provides a secure hold, though some users with larger hands may find it less comfortable. Reliability is a strong point, as it functions smoothly with a variety of ammunition under typical conditions. The trigger pull is crisp, averaging around 5.5 pounds, which aids in precise shot placement. Felt recoil is moderate for the caliber, manageable for most shooters with proper technique. On the downside, maintenance can be somewhat tedious due to the design of certain components, requiring patience for thorough cleaning. Additionally, sourcing replacement parts may pose challenges, as availability is not always guaranteed in all regions.

Perfect for Everyday Carry
By JKnicker on 15 Apr 2022
I have owned my LC9 Pro for nearly 4 years. It easy to conceal, extremely accurate, and has flawlessly fired every type of ammunition I have fed it. The only reason I don't give it a "5" is a slightly higher recoil than I would like from a 9mm and I like a slightly lighter trigger pull weight. It is a compact. I used the magazine extensions to help with that. But I carry it regularly because it is so reliable and hits what I point it at.
