About the Gun

The Ruger LCR is a double-action-only revolver that incorporates many features found in the SP101, GP100 and Super Redhawk revolvers, as well as several new features. The patent pending polymer fire control housing incorporates the same grip extension design as the SP101, GP100, and Super Redhawk revolvers. The craned cylinder assembly of the LCR locks into the aluminum upper frame in the rear of the cylinder and at the front via the ejector extension. The internal parts are installed through the top of the fire control housing or through the bottom in back of the aluminum upper frame. Therefore, no side plate is needed.

Excellent Concealed Carry Piece

If you want a revolver rather than a pistol for concealed carry, this is it. I bought the .357 version only because it has a more robust cylinder, but if you shoot that cartridge in a revolver with this short barrel and light weight, you are in for a memorable experience. You won't pull that trigger a second time. I shoot .38 Special for practice, and load .38 Special +P when carrying.

Nothing better for small dress slacks pockets

OK you prefer the comfort & economy of 38spl, this does that ~same price as any quality 38 + smooth trigger, better than S&W. Crimson Trace can equip this which improves the grip/recoil a bit IMHO but no Pro sights for this. Can get pretty close to 500ft-lb with Barnes 125gr PD 357mag ammo out of this snubby (Lucky Gunner labs test), nothing quite as small can do this power. Afraid to wish for a 7-8 round capacity - it might not fit. Holsters - can only find S&W442 types? These will fit nicely, prefer the leather. Yes, as accurate as a Glock that has longer barrel.
