Based on older Remington single actions of the 1800's, this revolver has a one-piece cylinder frame that is extended to form its compact grip. It is the smallest and lightest .22 caliber single action made by Ruger.

Production

Production of this firearm began in 1958, with the first generation running until 1970. It was reintroduced in 1993 as a second generation model, continuing to be produced with various updates through the present day.
