Analysis

This .44 Magnum single-action revolver is a robust choice for enthusiasts seeking power and precision in a classic design. Its accuracy is commendable, particularly for experienced shooters who can harness its potential at moderate ranges. The ergonomics are well-suited for larger hands, with a grip that facilitates a firm hold during firing. Reliability is a hallmark, as the revolver performs consistently under varied conditions with proper care. However, maintenance can be demanding, requiring regular attention to prevent wear on critical components. Parts availability may pose challenges, as some replacements are not as readily sourced compared to more modern designs. The trigger pull is crisp and predictable, aiding in shot placement, though the felt recoil is significant, potentially taxing for less experienced users or during extended sessions. Overall, it’s a solid option for those prepared to manage its inherent intensity and upkeep needs.

Ruger Super Blackhawk 45 Hunter stainless 7.5” bar
By MikeB-21 on 29 May 2020
Just purchased late March 2020. When I saw it online from Lipsey went crazy next @ dealers trying to find it asap. Dealer said Lipsey’s had four left in stock and I paid the hefty $875.00 plus state tax & NICS. I don’t care, I had to have it and I love it. I use factory ammo for now as I do handload safely and this exquisite piece of machinery shoots 45 AQA or Hornady Cowboy all the up to Buffalo Bore Deer Grenades that are on par or exceed 44 magnum statistics SAFELY, per the most current Hornady & Hodgdon Reloading Manuals. The Ruger large frame revolvers & Thompson-Center handguns are the ONLY guns Safely Allowed for the Buffalo Bore. Bomb-proof firearm. BTW ran this gun’s serial number and Ruger website already has the gun already out of production.
