Analysis

This compact .380 Auto pistol offers a practical option for concealed carry with several notable attributes. Its accuracy is commendable for a firearm in this size category, delivering consistent performance at typical self-defense ranges. The ergonomics are well-suited for smaller hands, with a grip that facilitates a secure hold during operation. Reliability is generally solid, functioning smoothly with a variety of ammunition under standard conditions. However, maintenance can be somewhat cumbersome due to the design of certain internal components, requiring extra effort for thorough cleaning. Availability of replacement parts may also pose a challenge, potentially delaying repairs. The trigger pull is on the heavier side, averaging around 9 pounds, which could affect precision for some users. Additionally, the felt recoil is noticeable, though manageable with proper technique, making it less ideal for extended range sessions or shooters sensitive to kickback.

SCCY CPX-3. Shot 190 rounds of ball ammo in one range session (30mins). One stovepipe on the 10th round. Firearm got extremely hot and moderately dirty. Flawless operation after 10th round. Slide racking is relatively effortless. DAO trigger is long but not heavy. Causing pulled shots to left for left-handed shooter. Medium/large hands and grip circumference and length are perfect. Grip texture is good. Very controllable during firing. Comes with three 10 round magazines. Adjustable rear sight. Much better value than Sig P290RS in my opinion. Paid less than $220. Wider than most single stacks but worth it for the 10 round mag capacity. If it proves totally reliable for another 300 rounds then I may carry it instead of my Glock 42. Extremely happy with this purchase.
