About the Gun

The 1911 Fastback Nightmare Carry is a Commander-sized single-action 1911-style pistol built on a stainless-steel frame and slide with the Fastback rounded grip and mainspring-housing contour. The frame and slide wear a Nitron finish contrasted by natural stainless controls, barrel bushing, extractor, and grip screws. It is fitted with black G10 grips and low-profile SIGLITE night sights. The design omits an accessory rail and retains the classic 1911 single-action controls with grip safety and manual thumb safety.

Analysis

SIG introduced the Nightmare series, including the Carry version, as a distinctive aesthetic and functional update within its 1911 lineup. The Fastback frame profile rounds the traditional squared butt to reduce printing and improve comfort for concealed carry while preserving full-height grip circumference and magazine capacity. The black Nitron finish with stainless accents gives the model its characteristic high-contrast appearance. Chamberings included the standard .45 ACP and a limited run in .357 SIG. The model continues the SIG 1911 traits of an external extractor and match-grade internal components while targeting users seeking a more concealable Commander-size option with a refined grip contour.
