Analysis

The P220 Emperor Scorpion represents an upgraded evolution of the earlier Scorpion treatment with a distinctive bronze PVD finish and the full Elite ergonomic package. The later production models include an integrated Picatinny accessory rail, while an early version without the rail was also produced. The heavier stainless steel construction and 5-inch barrel were chosen to effectively manage the recoil and pressures of the 10mm Auto cartridge. These limited Lipsey’s exclusive models offered enhanced durability, corrosion resistance, and refined handling for both hunting and defensive applications. They stand as one of the final premium expressions of the classic metal-frame P220 platform before SIG Sauer’s primary focus shifted to the Legion series.
