Analysis

The P232 features an all-metal construction with variants in blued (black Nitron over alloy frame), two-tone (stainless slide over alloy frame), and stainless (full stainless SL) finishes. Early production examples display slanted slide serrations, while later production (approximately from late 2008 onward) transitioned to straight vertical serrations across all finishes. The grip panels are fuller with a stippled texture compared to the P230, contributing to improved ergonomics through a subtle palm swell. It maintained the DA/SA trigger with frame-mounted decock lever and heel magazine release of its predecessor, and a rear sight that is drift-adjustable for windage. These changes addressed feedback on the P230 while preserving the compact dimensions suited for discreet carry. The serration transition reflects ongoing production refinements rather than a formal model split, allowing collectors to differentiate examples by production timing.

Sweet carry pistol
By Bobmeusel on 11 Mar 2019
I have many pistols and I just love the 232. It is light, thin, well balanced, well made, easily concealable and a pleasure to shoot. Yes it’s a 380 and not a 9mm. It is a great carry arm.
