About the Gun

The P320-M18 is a compact-size, striker-fired polymer pistol based on the U.S. military’s Modular Handgun System M18 sidearm. It pairs a compact-length slide and 3.9-inch barrel with a carry-length grip module, offering a more concealable package than the full-size M17 while retaining the same modular fire-control unit. The commercial version features an optic-ready slide with removable rear sight plate, ambidextrous manual safety on most examples, and is offered in coyote-tan or all-black finishes.

MSRP is around $650–$750. Current used market value for examples in good to very good condition ranges $400–$600.

Analysis

SIG released the commercial P320-M18 in late 2019 as the civilian counterpart to the military M18, the compact companion to the full-size M17 within the Army’s Modular Handgun System. The design follows the military configuration closely, including the optic cut, carry-length grip module, and ambidextrous manual safety. The coyote-tan version most closely matches the appearance of issued military pistols, while the black Bravo variant provides the same features in a conventional finish. Positioned as a more compact duty or carry option than the M17, the M18 gives shooters a factory configuration that mirrors the military compact sidearm. It remains a core military-contract-derived model within the P320 lineup.
