About the Gun

The P320 is a polymer-framed service pistol designed with the input of law enforcement officers. The result is an operator-safety focused striker duty pistol. Taking into account the concerns of military and police training officers, the P320 does not require the operator to pull the trigger nor use a special tool to take-down the firearm for cleaning or routine maintenance. It features a modular grip frame and removable fire control assembly, interchangeable grip panels, lower Picatinny rail, front and rear slide serrations.

Analysis

This .40 S&W semi-automatic pistol offers a compelling package for shooters seeking a balance of performance and practicality. Its accuracy is commendable, delivering consistent groupings at moderate ranges, thanks to a well-designed barrel and sight system. Ergonomically, the grip provides a natural fit for a wide range of hand sizes, enhancing control during extended sessions. Reliability is a strong point, with the firearm functioning smoothly across various conditions and ammunition types. The trigger pull is crisp, averaging around 6.5 pounds, which aids in precise shot placement. However, felt recoil in this caliber can be noticeable, potentially affecting follow-up shots for less experienced users. On the downside, maintenance can be somewhat intricate, requiring attention to detail for proper care. Additionally, sourcing certain replacement parts may pose challenges, and the pistol’s weight might not suit everyone for concealed carry.
