About the Gun

Geared for concealed carry with a shorter profile than the 4.5F model, reducing printing and enhancing draw speed. Features include a hammer forged steel barrel with a Melonite finish, interchangeable backstraps (S/M/L), accessory rail, captive recoil spring system, front and rear slide serrations, flat-faced trigger. Specifications here are for flush-fit magazines. Extended magazines add three rounds to overall capacity, extending the gun's height by an inch.

Analysis

The Echelon 4.0C platform offers three well-executed configurations on the same serialized Central Operating Group (COG). The standard model provides balanced recoil management, excellent natural pointing characteristics, and the lowest profile for concealed carry, making it the default choice for daily appendix or strong-side use. The compensated variant significantly reduces muzzle rise—approximately 35 %—yielding faster, more accurate follow-up shots with minimal increase in overall length, though it produces noticeably greater side blast and concussion in confined spaces. The threaded-barrel version enhances versatility for suppressor use or extended training while delivering modestly softer felt recoil than the standard model, without the compensator’s directional flash or noise signature. Across all three, the trigger remains crisp and consistent, reliability exceeds 8,000 rounds without malfunction in documented testing, and holster and optic compatibility is comprehensive. The standard suits pure carry, the compensated model favors speed-oriented defensive use, and the threaded configuration excels where suppression or future adaptability is prioritized.
