Analysis

This 9mm compact pistol offers a solid option for concealed carry and personal defense. Its accuracy is commendable, with tight groupings achievable at typical self-defense ranges, thanks to a well-designed barrel and sight system. Ergonomically, the grip texture and frame contour provide a secure hold, even during extended shooting sessions, catering well to a variety of hand sizes. Reliability is a strong point, as it consistently cycles a wide range of ammunition without frequent malfunctions. However, maintenance can be somewhat cumbersome due to the complexity of disassembly for thorough cleaning. Availability of aftermarket parts and accessories may also be limited compared to more widely adopted platforms. The trigger pull is crisp, averaging around 5.5 pounds, which aids in precise shot placement. Felt recoil is moderate, manageable for most shooters, though those sensitive to snap may require additional practice to adapt.

Have shot four types of ball ammo totaling 300 rounds. 100% reliability. Easy pickup of front sight. Grip texture is definitely better than the original version. Accuracy is similar to the M&P Shield, which is excellent. Recoil is not a problem...follow-up shots were reasonably accurate. Trigger is a little stiff but I think it'll smooth out over time. Reset is short, tactile, and audible. Slide is a little easier to rack than my Shield, and inserting magazines is a bit smoother. Shield is about $100 cheaper and it's hard to say one is better than the other. Love the quality of this firearm. Definitely worth the price for me.
