About the Gun

First-generation M-Series pistols feature a locked-breech, short-recoil mechanism with a linkless, vertically dropping barrel to achieve a low bore axis, trapezoidal rear sight paired with a triangular front post for alignment, and the Reset Action trigger system that delivers a consistent pull. Early models include proprietary accessory mounting points under the frame rather than a standardized rail, smoother grip surfaces with rounded trigger guards

Production

This model was produced from 1999 to 2004.

Analysis

For the 9×21mm chambered model in early production, this variant was developed exclusively for the Italian civilian market to meet restrictions prohibiting handguns chambered in military-standard 9×19mm Parabellum cartridges. It retained identical frame, slide, and operational characteristics to the 9×19mm equivalent, with the longer 21mm case providing near-identical ballistics through adjusted bullet seating depth while using the same magazine capacities (typically 14–15 rounds standard). Availability of 9×21mm ammunition was confined largely to Italy and select European regions, restricting its use and export potential elsewhere and rendering it a regionally specific compliance variant rather than a broadly marketed option within the series.
