The Millennium line includes several innovative safety features including a positive firing pin block as well as the 'Taurus Safety Latch', a transfer bar safety which prevents firing of the pistol unless the trigger is pulled.

Analysis

This compact .380 Auto pistol offers a solid option for concealed carry or personal defense. Its accuracy is commendable for a firearm in this class, delivering consistent performance at typical self-defense ranges. The ergonomic design ensures a comfortable grip for most users, aiding in control during firing. Reliability is a strong point, with the pistol functioning well under varied conditions when properly maintained. However, maintenance can be somewhat cumbersome due to the complexity of disassembly, which may frustrate less experienced owners. Additionally, sourcing replacement parts can be challenging, potentially leading to delays in repairs. The trigger pull is on the heavier side, averaging around 8-9 pounds, which might affect precision for some shooters. Felt recoil is moderate for the caliber, manageable with practice, though smaller-framed individuals may find it slightly harsh during extended sessions. Overall, it’s a practical choice with considerations for upkeep.
