Analysis

This compact .22 LR pistol offers a solid option for shooters seeking a lightweight, easy-to-handle firearm for plinking or training purposes. Its accuracy is commendable for its class, delivering consistent performance at short to medium ranges. The ergonomic design fits comfortably in most hands, promoting a natural grip during extended sessions. Reliability is generally dependable with quality ammunition, though occasional feeding issues may arise with lower-grade rounds. The trigger pull is smooth but slightly heavy, which might affect precision for some users. Felt recoil is minimal, making it an excellent choice for beginners or those sensitive to kick. On the downside, maintenance can be cumbersome due to its intricate design, requiring patience for thorough cleaning. Additionally, sourcing replacement parts can be challenging, potentially frustrating owners needing repairs. Overall, it’s a practical piece for casual use, provided expectations align with its limitations.

Good value, Good firearm
By Diecapsule78 on 07 Apr 2020
I purchased this pistol about 7 years ago. At first I had some issues with it due to running the wrong kind of ammo. The previous commentor is dead on, this pistol runs like a top when using CCI & Remington. I personally only run brass ammo through my .22 pistols now.

Great little gun
By Billy Bob Jo on 16 Dec 2017
The Taurus PT-22 is a great gun. Perfect little 22lr pocket pistol. A lot of fun to shoot, and she shoots accurate to around 20-25yards. Easy to clean, comfortable to handle and light to carry; I'm 6'3" 220lb. Don't let anyone fool you, this little 22 will rise to the occasion if ever needed. It likes to run on CCI or Remington Golden.
