Analysis

This .44 S&W Special caliber revolver offers a solid option for shooters seeking a balance of power and control. Its accuracy is commendable, particularly at moderate ranges, making it suitable for both casual target shooting and defensive applications. The ergonomic design of the grip provides a comfortable hold, aiding in shot placement during extended sessions. Reliability is a strong point, with consistent performance under varied conditions, reflecting durable construction. However, maintenance can be somewhat demanding, as regular cleaning is necessary to prevent buildup due to the cartridge’s characteristics. Availability of replacement parts may pose a challenge for some owners, potentially leading to delays in repairs. The trigger pull is smooth with a predictable break, though it might feel slightly heavy for newer shooters. Felt recoil is manageable for experienced users but could be noticeable for those unaccustomed to larger calibers.

Excellent big gun without recoil
By Jcgraham3 on 16 Feb 2019
I found this model used and in excellent condition. It has significantly less recoil than the magnum brothers. After installing a trigger kit, this has been a great purchase. Very pleased with this gun, quality seems admirable.
