About the Gun

This is a reproduction of the first 'ejectorless' or what is now known as the Sheriff's Model introduced in 1882. The vast majority of the Sheriff's Model (also called the Storekeeper’s Model) sixguns were made with 3.5 or 4 inch barrels. The short barrel was designed to speed up the draw, and to make the gun a bit easier to carry, or to conceal. However, some Sheriff's Models were even manufactured with 7.5 inch barrels.

About the Cartridge

Although originally designed for the Winchester Model 73 lever-action rifle, the 32-30 became very popular as a revolver cartridge in its time. Now, the cartridge is in a semi-obsolete status, having been replaced by the likes of the .32 H&R Magnum and the .357 Magnum rounds for for performance in a revolver.
