About the Gun

This is a reproduction of the first 'ejectorless' or what is now known as the Sheriff's Model introduced in 1882. The vast majority of the Sheriff's Model (also called the Storekeeper’s Model) sixguns were made with 3.5 or 4 inch barrels. The short barrel was designed to speed up the draw, and to make the gun a bit easier to carry, or to conceal. However, some Sheriff's Models were even manufactured with 7.5 inch barrels.

About the Cartridge

This cartridge was adopted by the US Army in 1873 for the legendary Colt Single Action Army 'Peacemaker' revolver. This is yet another cartridge that was originally a black-powder design. This cartridge is still very popular today, used in many derringers and cowboy action revolvers.
