About the Gun

One of the first successful polymer framed designs, Glock handguns are common sidearms among law enforcement agencies and military organizations around the world. Although a striker-fired pistol, the Glock employs a single-action (SA) trigger, meaning that the trigger does not cock the gun, but only releases the striker when pulled. Cocking of the striker is performed by the retracting slide. Glock pistols have no manual safeties. The trigger is the only operating element. All three internal pistol safeties are deactivated when the unique single-action trigger is pulled, and automatically activated when it is released. For more information on the Glock design, please refer to the Glock pistol animation in the Basics section.

Analysis

This 10mm caliber compact pistol offers a compelling option for shooters seeking power in a smaller frame. Its accuracy is commendable, delivering consistent performance at moderate ranges, while the ergonomic design ensures a secure grip for most hand sizes, enhancing control during rapid fire. Reliability is a key asset, with the firearm functioning well under varied conditions, even with high-pressure rounds. The trigger pull is crisp, averaging around 5.5 pounds, which suits both defensive and range use, though some may find it slightly stiff initially. Felt recoil is notably sharp due to the potent caliber and compact size, potentially challenging for less experienced users. On the downside, maintenance can be somewhat demanding, requiring diligent care to prevent wear from the powerful cartridge. Additionally, sourcing specific components may pose difficulties, limiting customization or quick repairs for some owners.

This is one of my EDC carry, Little heavy, very comfortable however, ammo is expensive while practice, it’s very hard to locate defensive ammo.
