About the Gun

One of the first successful polymer framed designs, Glock handguns are common sidearms among law enforcement agencies and military organizations around the world. Although a striker-fired pistol, the Glock employs a single-action (SA) trigger, meaning that the trigger does not cock the gun, but only releases the striker when pulled. Cocking of the striker is performed by the retracting slide. Glock pistols have no manual safeties. The trigger is the only operating element. All three internal pistol safeties are deactivated when the unique single-action trigger is pulled, and automatically activated when it is released. Analysis

This compact pistol in .357 SIG delivers notable performance for its size, particularly in terms of accuracy and reliability. Its design ensures consistent shot placement, even under rapid fire, while the ergonomic grip accommodates a variety of hand sizes, enhancing control during use. The trigger pull, averaging around 5.5 pounds, offers a crisp break, contributing to precision without excessive effort. However, the felt recoil in this powerful caliber can be sharp, potentially challenging for less experienced shooters or those with smaller frames. On the downside, maintenance requires attention to detail due to the high-pressure cartridge, and parts for this specific chambering may not be as readily available as for more common calibers. Additionally, some users might find the slide’s operation slightly stiff initially. Overall, it’s a solid choice for those seeking a balance of power and concealability, provided they’re prepared for the recoil and upkeep demands.
