Analysis

American Tactical introduced the FX Titan Lightweight in late 2012 as the alloy-frame companion to the all-steel Officer FX Titan. Shooters Arms in the Philippines built both. The change from a steel frame to alloy was meant to cut carry weight on the same short 1911. Blue Book lists a NiBX finish and a 2013–2014 run only. The steel Titan continued after that; the Lightweight did not. Used examples are uncommon next to the steel Titan and trade as short-run alloy Officers.
