Analysis

This 9mm semi-automatic pistol, hailing from a notable Spanish manufacturer, offers a solid option for shooters seeking a historical yet functional firearm. Its accuracy is commendable, delivering consistent performance at moderate ranges, while the ergonomic design provides a comfortable grip for most users, aiding in control during extended sessions. Reliability is a key asset, with the pistol functioning well under various conditions when properly maintained. However, maintenance can be a challenge, as disassembly and cleaning require patience and familiarity due to its older design. Parts availability is another concern, often posing difficulties for repairs or customization. The trigger pull is on the heavier side, which may not suit shooters accustomed to lighter, modern triggers. Felt recoil is moderate, manageable for most, though less experienced users might find it somewhat pronounced during rapid fire. Overall, it’s a dependable choice with historical appeal, balanced by practical limitations.

Reliable accurate shooter

The Spanish made great guns in their gun-making days. The tubular Astras are all sturdy but elegant guns, as reliable as any, which no doubt explains why Hitler ordered thousands of the Model 600. The little 300 and 3000 guns have a little kick but the hefty 9mm guns are super smooth shooters.
