About the Gun

The A-50 is a compact all-steel SA blowback pistol with a single-stack magazine and an exposed hammer. Standard guns are blued, with checkered plastic grips. The thumb safety sits on the left rear of the frame.

Production ran from 1969 through the early 1990s.

Analysis

Astra introduced the A-50 as the single-action gun on its PP-pattern envelope. The frame safety and the missing slide stop are the factory differences from the DA Constable. It was sold in .380 Auto. Production ran with the rest of that pocket line into the early 1990s. Used A-50s trade as Spanish PP-pattern pistols; parts are limited.
