Analysis

The Terminator is a short-barrel conversion of Astra’s large-frame Model 44, built for the mid-1980s Magnum-snub market. Early guns started as 6 in revolvers with the barrel cut and a new ramp sight fitted; the grip frame was milled down for compact rubber panels. Later frames were shaped that way at the factory. The name was a U.S. trade label, not an Astra rollmark. Almost all examples are .44 Rem Mag; stainless outnumbers blue. Stocks were gone by the end of the decade. Used guns trade as short-run Magnum snubs; parts are limited.
