Analysis

This compact revolver in .22 Mag caliber offers a practical choice for shooters seeking a lightweight, concealable firearm for personal defense or small game hunting. Its accuracy is commendable at close to moderate ranges, making it effective for precise shots within its intended purpose. The ergonomic design of the grip ensures a comfortable hold, aiding in control during use. Reliability is a strong point, with consistent performance under various conditions when properly maintained. However, maintenance can be somewhat demanding, as regular cleaning is necessary to prevent issues with the cylinder and action. Availability of replacement parts may pose a challenge, potentially leading to delays in repairs. The trigger pull is smooth but on the heavier side, which might affect rapid follow-up shots for some users. Felt recoil is minimal, aligning well with the cartridge’s moderate power, ensuring manageable handling for most shooters.

Shorter grips.

You can shorten the overall height of the Pathfinders by 5/8" by using the compact rubber grips. In 22lr/22 mag there is no significant recoil, so no need for full combat grips.
