Analysis

This .38 Spl +P caliber revolver offers a solid option for concealed carry and personal defense. Its compact design ensures comfortable handling, with a grip that fits well in most hands, promoting control during firing. Accuracy is commendable at typical defensive ranges, delivering consistent shot placement with proper technique. Reliability is a strong point, as the mechanism functions smoothly even under varied conditions, with minimal risk of failure when maintained properly. The trigger pull is crisp, averaging around 10 pounds in double-action mode, though some may find it slightly heavy for rapid follow-up shots. Felt recoil is moderate, manageable for most shooters, though less experienced users might notice it with hotter +P loads. On the downside, maintenance can be somewhat involved due to the intricacies of the design, and sourcing replacement parts may pose challenges over time. Overall, it’s a dependable choice with minor limitations.

I put 300 rounds through this and it functions great. Easy to conceal and with XTP ammo its a good self defense gun. Recoil is manageable but as in any J-frame is going to be more than a larger gun.
