Redhawk and Blackhawk, and the Dan Wesson Firearms Model 44. Some Anaconda variants were also offered in .45 Colt caliber.

Analysis

This .45 caliber double-action revolver is a notable option for shooters seeking a robust, large-frame handgun. Its accuracy is commendable, particularly at moderate ranges, thanks to a well-balanced design and a crisp trigger pull that averages around 4 pounds in single-action mode, offering precision control. The ergonomics are solid, with a grip that accommodates most hand sizes, enhancing comfort during extended sessions. Reliability is a key asset, as it consistently performs under varied conditions with proper care. However, felt recoil is significant, especially with full-power loads, which may challenge newer shooters or those sensitive to kick. Maintenance can be demanding, requiring regular attention to prevent wear on critical components. Additionally, sourcing replacement parts may pose difficulties due to limited availability. While a capable choice for experienced users, its weight and recoil might deter some from daily carry or casual use.
