Analysis

This .45 Auto pistol offers a solid option for shooters seeking a full-sized 1911-style handgun. Its accuracy is commendable, delivering consistent performance at typical defensive ranges, while the ergonomic design ensures a comfortable grip for most users, aiding in control during extended sessions. Reliability is a strong point, with the firearm cycling smoothly through various ammunition types under standard conditions. The trigger pull is crisp, averaging around 4.5 pounds, which enhances precision without feeling overly heavy. Felt recoil is manageable, though it remains noticeable given the caliber, requiring proper grip technique for newer shooters. On the downside, maintenance can be somewhat demanding, as the design necessitates regular cleaning to prevent wear on tight tolerances. Parts availability may pose challenges for some owners, potentially delaying repairs. Additionally, the weight might deter those prioritizing concealability or lightweight carry options.

great pistol
By groverd on 02 Apr 2020
I have this pistol, it came with wood grip panels. I always said if I found an accurate 1911 I would keep it forever. The MC1911S is that pistol. When we took our CCW course, after shooting the instructor asked to check it out. He had never seen a production 1911 shoot such tight groupings. I put a little heavier recoil spring to match my handloads. It also has a full length guide rod and a very positive barrel lock up. I recommend these as an affordable alternative to some of boutique 1911's out there. Try it you'll find that its a great gun.
