Analysis

Introduction of the MOS configuration on the Gen4 platform responded to increasing interest in pistol-mounted optics among law enforcement and civilian users. The factory-integrated slide cut preserved the pistol's standard operating characteristics while simplifying optic installation compared to aftermarket modifications on earlier models. Production volumes were lower than those of the non-MOS variant, resulting in fewer examples reaching the market before the broader shift away from the Gen4 series. On the secondary market these optics-ready units have retained stronger demand and value relative to standard counterparts due to the added utility of the sighting interface.
