About the Gun

Fourth-generation full-size pistol in 10 mm Auto features a polymer frame with interchangeable backstraps that allow adjustment of grip circumference and angle for different hand sizes. It includes an enlarged reversible magazine release, a dual-recoil-spring assembly, and rough-textured frame surfaces. The slide houses standard fixed sights, and the design maintains the short-recoil, locked-breech operating system with a striker-fired trigger mechanism.

Analysis

This variant applied the Gen4 ergonomic and recoil-management updates to the 10 mm platform, which is often selected for hunting, backcountry carry, or defensive use against larger threats. The dual-spring setup was intended to moderate the pronounced recoil impulse associated with the cartridge while supporting reliable cycling across a range of loads, from lighter target ammunition to full-power defensive or hunting rounds. The model saw adoption among users who prioritize the cartridge's ballistic performance in a service-size handgun. Quantities reaching the secondary market have been more limited than those of the 9 mm Gen4 variants, contributing to somewhat firmer pricing for serviceable examples.
